Brian Silvernail lives in Melbourne, Florida with his wife and three children.
He is a graphic designer working for a local printing company and he and his
wife also do freelance graphic design work. Brian has been designing golf
courses on the computer for 20 years, ever since Accolade's Mean 18 appeared
in 1986.
After releasing many courses for earlier versions of the Jack Nicklaus
series of golf games, Brian had the opportunity to create stock courses that
were included with Jack Nicklaus 5 and Jack Nicklaus 6 between 1997 and 1999.
For Jack Nicklaus 6, he worked on recreations of courses that included Shoal Creek,
Sherwood, Muirfield Village, Cochise at Desert Mountain, Nicklaus North and
Montecastillo. For Shoal Creek, Brian made a site visit to the course to take
photographs, play the course and make notes.
In 2000, Brian had the opportunity to create an original design that was
included with Sierra's PGA 2000 golf game. He also had the opportunity two
create two more original designs that were released with other courses by
Sierra as expansion packs for PGA 2000.
Brian also worked with CustomPlayGames in 2005 to create an original design
named Hanauma Cliffs that was included with the game. Today, he continues to work
on new courses for CustomPlayGolf.
Some hobbies Brian enjoys include playing real golf, using graphics applications,
listening to music, and just spending time at home with his family.
