Brian Zager was born and currently lives in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
He is currently single and a student at the University of Wisconsin Stevens
Point majoring in Web and Digital Media Development.
Brian has been designing golf courses on the computer since 1996.
The early courses from 1996-1998 were for Jack Nicklaus Signature Edition.
These included both real and fictional courses. In 1999 he began designing for
PGA Championship Golf 1999 and later moved on to PGA 2000. Most of this
JNSE and early PGA work was later released online in 2003.
From 2001-2003 he focused on recreating real race tracks for NASCAR Racing 4, 2002,
and 2003. His experience of using on screen transparencies of overhead photos and
maps for recreating these tracks led him to be the first to use this technique in
PGA 2000 for golf courses. This helped increase the ease and accuracy of recreating
real courses. He began designing for PGA 2000 again in 2004 and the result of
these efforts was the release of Wisconsin River Golf Club at the end of 2004.
In 2005 he worked to create new blending textures for PGA 2000 and released two
more real courses: Bull’s Eye Country Club and Tri-City Golf Course. During this
time he has also created custom flags, 2D objects and textures for PGA 2000.
In early 2005 he became a beta tester for Custom Play Golf. Today he is working to
recreate real courses for CPG in addition to continuing work in PGA 2000.
Some other hobbies Brian enjoys include real golf, and auto racing sims (NASCAR and F1).
